  • Is the local school district affiliated with the team?
No. We are no longer affiliated with the school and it is not required to do so, but it is a good way to tie our team to the community and possibly have some additional community support. In agreement with the Hudson School District and their goal to get at least every student involved in one activity, we will still use the Hudson Raider name. The Hudson Raider Team incorporated in 2019 and operates under a Federal 501c3 non-profit organization status. We have a board of directors and an adivsory board which guides the team.

The season starts at the beginning of March and goes to the end of June with an optional National's Tournament in July in Ohio.
  • Do I need to possess a shotgun to participate?
We strongly recommend that you don't go and purchase a firearm if you currently don't own one. It's best to allow the teams coaches to meet the athlete first so they can make recommendations about the make and model of a firearm that will best fit the athlete. As a club, we do have multiple guns for the athletes to use so if you don't have a firearm, we will have one to help get the athlete started.
  • What gauge firearms are allowed?
The team allows the athlete to use a 20-gauge or a 12-gauge shotgun. We recommend a 12-gauge for most athletes with a 20-gauge being used for the younger and smaller athlete.

You will need a shooting vest or a shell pouch, and eye and ear protection.
